Yes it’s that time of year again, pumpkin time that is. Here we have some neat tips for how you can survive Halloween in style.
PUMPKIN NEWBIE
Orange doesn’t fit your decor? Then how about painting your pumpkins a neutral colour…pastels mostly, and they look gorgeous! Want to go the extra mile? Drill a few holes in your pumpkin to create a pretty pattern, and place a tea light inside it…your pumpkins will look magical in the dark too.
HATE FANCY DRESS?
You’ve been invited to THE Halloween party where you are expected to dress up, but the idea of a costume makes you cringe. This is the perfect chance to show off your love for black by going for a head-to-toe black outfit, and why not test the latest trend with a velvet piece? Also, why not add an exotic element like feathers to your look? Black – check. Velvet – check. Detail – check. Oh, don’t forget a moody lip…we would go for a dark plum, a tad smeared…
AUTO-PILOT TREAT-GIVING
Yes, that’s an option. If you want to avoid the constant door bell ringing by eager dressed up children but you still want to be a good neighbor opt for the candy bowl option. Fill a large bowl with scrumptious sweets and place it outside your door. Granted, you might have to refill every 25 minutes.
DRINK YOUR CALORIES
Halloween is over, and you now have bags and bags of sweet treats that you had bought for the children. Turn the candy in a special adult treat… Gummy bear margarita anyone? Simply rim a chilled margarita glass with sugar, fill with ice and gummy bears, pour and enjoy! We’d go for the classic margarita recipe (3 parts of good quality tequila, 1 part triple sec, 2 parts lime juice) plus a dash of grenadine.
Happy Halloween everyone!
